METH: HITTING ROCK BOTTOM

This panel will focus on the growing trend of PNP (party n play) in the gay community, as well as the rise of HIV + diagnosis due to the increasing usage of meth and unsafe sex. The use of meth amongst gay men has become staggering in recent years, and the number of users continue to rise. This panel will address the consequences and shed some light on treatment and the challenges of coming “clean”. The film METH will screen following the panel.
Panelists include: Phillip Fuity: Founder (Harm reduction for the Department of Health for the state of New Mexico), Dominick Zurlo (Healthcare for the Homeless), Jimmy Schrock (Men’s Health project coordinator). Other panelists to be announced. Panel and film screening are free.

Due to last years popular all-day screenings of women in film, we are proud to be bringing it back again this year! Held at the Film Center at Cinema Cafe, the day begins with hilarious comedy What’s Up Scarlet? and continues that afternoon with Girls Shorts, Love Sick, Red Doors, and from Spain, El Calentito! Immediately following the screenings, the festivities will continue at Backroad Pizza with music, food, and dancing. So welcome back to an entire day of celebrating women in films!
